Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed the decision during a recent interview. __________________ When asked whether the Treasury Department was still moving forward with the plan, Bessent told Spectrum News, “We are not at present.” __________________ The idea was first announced by the Obama administration in 2016. Tubman, who was born into slavery and later helped hundreds of enslaved people escape to freedom, would have become the first Black American featured on U.S. paper currency. __________________ During his first presidential campaign, Trump criticized the proposal, calling it “pure political correctness,” and suggested Tubman could instead appear on the $2 bill. __________________ The project was later revived under the Biden administration, with a rollout estimated for 2030. The other most popular politicians are leftists – Bernie Sanders (45), Zohran Mamdani (44), Jon Ossoff (42), and AOC (41). Unsurprisingly, the bottom of the list is mostly Republican. “Tucker Carlson is the single most disliked figure we tested, at 28. Senate Majority Leader John Thune (at 30), Speaker Mike Johnson (33), and Elon Musk (36) all sit near the floor. And Donald, at 38, is tied with his own vice president, JD Vance, and just below the Republican Party as a whole, at 39.” Trump’s low rating probably has something to do with the corruption, the war crimes, the pedophilia allegations, the embezzlement, and the generally being the worst person to ever walk the planet since a certain German man. It’s not surprising either that President Obama is at the top of the list. But what’s more surprising is how high Zohran, AOC, and Bernie Sanders are. America is ready for a progressive future – one that undoes everything Donald Trump has ever done and continues the great work that President Obama began.
