  • “Can we just tase him?” It took an entire team of deputies from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office to lift an uncooperative domestic violence suspect, with serval warrants, into a police vehicle as he refused to move on his own.

  • BUS DRIVER FIRED AFTER WAITING EVERY MORNING SO DISABLED RIDER COULD REACH THE BUS SAFELY Columbus, OH - A city bus driver has reportedly been fired after supervisors discovered he had been waiting an extra minute each morning so a disabled passenger using a wheelchair could safely make it down the ramp outside his apartment. In this satirical story, Marcus Reed, 48, noticed the passenger struggled to navigate the steep ramp leading from his building and was often only seconds away when the scheduled departure time arrived. Rather than pulling away, Marcus would wait, lower the accessibility ramp, greet the rider by name, and continue the route once everyone was safely aboard. Regular passengers reportedly never complained, with many saying they’d rather arrive a minute late than watch someone be left behind. Transit managers allegedly reviewed GPS data showing repeated one-minute delays and concluded Marcus had violated the agency’s strict on-time performance policy. The suspension sparked outrage, with dozens of riders arriving at the next transit board meeting carrying handmade signs reading, “Schedules Matter. People Matter More.” Asked if he regretted waiting, Marcus simply replied, “The timetable can recover. Some people can’t.”

  • Neighbors, you can’t make this stuff up. An 84-year-old Florida man is facing charges after he allegedly tried to set his ex-girlfriend on fire after their 42-year relationship ended.
    __________________
According to investigators, Franklin Davis and the woman got into an argument Friday while sitting in a parked vehicle at a 7-Eleven. Davis, who had been drinking, allegedly pulled out a bottle filled with gasoline, poured it onto the dashboard and front seats, and then set the car on fire while they were both still inside.

The woman said she believed Davis was trying to “burn her up” before she managed to escape. She suffered third-degree burns to her left leg, while Davis suffered burns to his hands and face. Both were treated at local hospitals.

  • Neighbors, not folks messing with Speed! FIFA has launched an investigation after popular streamer IShowSpeed was allegedly subjected to racial abuse while attending a FIFA World Cup Round of 32 match between Argentina and Cape Verde at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
    —————————
The incident reportedly occurred during the July 3rd match and was captured while the 21-year-old was livestreaming from the stadium. According to the BBC, FIFA was made aware of the alleged abuse after footage from the stream circulated online. In response, FIFA released a statement reaffirming its stance against discrimination. “The FIFA World Cup is a celebration of unity, diversity and respect,” the organization said. #ispeed

  • First apartments often start with a mattress on the floor as other priorities take precedence. Whether in a city apartment, student flat, or luxury high-rise, many delay buying a bed frame due to moving costs and rent. This setup has become an internet stereotype for bachelor apartments, viewed as either financial practicality or a rite of passage for young men. It’s funny when someone owns the latest TV, gaming console, laptop, and designer clothes but still sleeps on the floor. Though most eventually upgrade, the floor mattress remains a symbol of early independence. Be honest… how long did it take you to buy a bed frame after moving out?
