Neighbors, hopefully she wins! A Georgia woman is suing Airbnb after she claims she was denied the opportunity to book a rental located in a “peaceful white neighborhood”.
—-
According to reports, Sharona Stewart says she found a six-bedroom home in Dunwoody, Georgia, and exchanged introduction messages with the host before things allegedly took a turn. Stewart claims the host began asking questions before abruptly rejecting her reservation.
——
Afterward, she says she took a closer look at the listing and noticed it described the area as a “peaceful white neighborhood” with “no neighbors around.” Stewart has since filed a federal lawsuit against the host and Airbnb alleging racial discrimination. She claims the platform failed to act quickly after she reported the listing.
—-
Her attorney argues the wording used in the listing, along with the alleged rejection of her booking, raises serious concerns about discriminatory housing practices. The lawsuit also claims Airbnb allowed the listing to remain active for months after being notified of the alleged issue.
——
Airbnb has since responded, stating that discrimination has no place on its platform and confirming that the host has been permanently removed. Thoughts? 馃挱

Neighbors, attorney Ben Crump is raising questions surrounding the death of Nolan Wells.

If you recall, Nolan, the 18-year-old student-athlete from Ocean Springs, Mississippi, died after he disappeared during a Fourth of July boating trip to Horn Island. His body was recovered on July 6.

The family’s lawyer, Ben Crump, is now telling Don Lemon that Nolan’s parents were asked to turn over his cell phone to law enforcement, but called the situation “troubling,” adding, “They’re saying messages were deleted from his cell phone.”

According to reports, three young men who returned from Horn Island had Wells’ cellphone and later returned it to his parents.

In a separate interview, Crump questioned the investigation after reports that law enforcement has not yet found evidence of foul play, pointing to “contradictions” in witness accounts and a video that appears to show an altercation took place the night Nolan disappeared.

Crump also said the family has concerns about the investigation being handled by Mississippi authorities, pointing out that Nolan was the only Black teen in a group of white teens who could potentially have “culpability.”

Crump and Nolan’s family are expected to hold a press conference tomorrow to call for a full and transparent investigation. Thoughts? 馃

Nolan Wells’ parents are speaking out in their first interview since their son’s death, calling for a thorough investigation and an independent autopsy. They also raised questions about his Snapchat accounts, saying they found no photos or videos from his Horn Island trip, which they say was unusual for Nolan because he typically documented moments when he was having fun. Thoughts? 馃帴 #nolanwells

Bodycam footage captured a late-night DUI investigation involving a woman who was asked to perform field sobriety testing after officers reportedly observed signs of possible impairment. What initially appeared to be a routine traffic stop quickly evolved into a tense and emotionally charged roadside encounter as the evaluation continued. The clip gained widespread attention because of the woman’s unpredictable behavior throughout the interaction. According to widely shared footage, while officers attempted to conduct standard sobriety testing, she allegedly shifted repeatedly between emotional breakdowns and confrontational outbursts, creating a difficult atmosphere during the investigation. #crazy #dui
