Booker T says only “Macho Man” Randy Savage deserves to rank above him among King of the Ring winners, reacting to a new poll that placed him fourth behind Steve Austin, Savage, and Bret Hart.
“It literally shocks my mind when I see the list,” Booker said. “I can accept being number two behind Macho Man Savage and the lovely Elizabeth. I can swallow that, but that would be the only king I will place higher than myself on any King of the Ring winner poll, as far as what they did after they won the crown.”
The two-time WWE Hall of Famer questioned Austin’s top spot: “I understand Steve Austin, Austin 3:16 was born on that night, but that was it. What do you remember Steve Austin doing as King of the Ring? Not very much, not very much at all.”
