Neighbors, this is heartbreaking and terrifying. An Indianapolis man is in custody after confessing to the murder of a pregnant woman that was the soon-to-be mother of his unborn child. He claims his actions were self defense.

According to Fox 59, Police were called to an apartment on Ella Dobbs Lane on December 30th after a woman arrived home to find her roommate dead behind a bedroom door, with a bag taped to her head. When authorities asked for possible suspects, she named Regulus Baka, 22, as one. Noting that he was the father of 20-year-old Shanaiya McDonald’s unborn child. Baka was later taken into custody and gave a swift confession.

Based on court documents, Baka said him and the victim had a toxic on and off relationship where the woman would allegedly cheat, hit him, and threaten to kill his family. He said that he went to her home on the day of the incident just to visit as her birthday was on New Year’s Eve, but things went left. He claims she picked up a knife after getting mad and hitting him. The documents also revealed that Baka admitted to punching her multiple times then striking her with a space heater at least 4 times after she fell to the ground. He then followed up with a frying pan. He says he taped her nose so she would stop breathing and stabbed her as well.

“I just wanted her dead,” Baka told police.

He also took McDonald’s laptop, phone, knife, and the tape and threw it all in a dumpster as he fled the scene. All items were recovered by investigators. Baka first hearing is scheduled for January 3rd.

50 Cent's child support saga is legendary. He was voluntarily paying his baby mama $40,000 a month, a whopping $500,000 a year, but she claimed it wasn't enough.
In a bold move, 50 Cent took himself to family court to reassess the child support arrangement. The court's decision? He should pay $6,700 a month. That's a staggering reduction of $33,300 per month!
This epic reduction has become one of the most infamous "L's" in celebrity history, leaving many in awe of 50 Cent's savvy move. 🤷🏾♂️ #5ocent
