Do you know two Black brothers with albinism were once kidnapped from their mother and turned into a traveling circus attraction so crowds could pay money to stare at them?
Their names were George and Willie Muse.
Born in Truevine near Roanoke, Virginia, the brothers grew up during segregation-era America with albinism, a rare condition that gave them pale skin, light hair, and poor eyesight.
In 1899, a white circus recruiter named James Herman “Candy” Shelton targeted the brothers after seeing them near tobacco fields in Virginia.
Their mother Harriet Muse refused to let them join traveling circus shows.
But later, the brothers were taken away from their family and pulled into the brutal world of American sideshows.
Circus promoters renamed them “Eko” and “Iko.”
Posters advertised them as strange attractions while white crowds across America paid money to stare at them beneath carnival tents.
Meanwhile, their mother spent thirteen years searching for her sons.
And when she finally found them again years later, the brothers had already spent much of their lives being displayed as entertainment across segregated America.
Because while audiences saw a spectacle…
their mother saw her children.

In 1944, in South Carolina, a 14-year-old Black boy was accused of killing two white girls.
No physical evidence. No credible witnesses. No real defence.
Just a Black child in the American South.
The jury was all white. The trial lasted less than 3 hours. They deliberated for just 10 minutes before sentencing a child to death.
George Stinney Jr. weighed 90 pounds.
When they brought him to the electric chair, he was so small that the straps wouldn't fit around his body.
So they sat him on a Bible.
Let that sink in. They sat a 90-pound 14-year-old boy on a Bible so they could strap him into an electric chair.
On June 16, 1944, George Stinney Jr. was executed.
He became the youngest person put to death in the United States in the 20th century.
He was 14 years old.
Seventy years later, in 2014, a judge vacated his conviction.
George Stinney Jr. was innocent.
Innocent. Murdered by the state. And given justice only after everyone who failed him was already dead and buried.
This is not ancient history. This is 80 years ago. This is living memory. This is the system working exactly as it was designed to.
Say his name.

Operation Yellow Card — a U.S. Marshals-led operation launched because Massachusetts was publicly identified as a high-risk trafficking zone during the FIFA World Cup — has been active since April 2026 and recovered 35 missing children from this state, some located as far away as Georgia and Texas. Aleiana disappeared June 30, at the peak of that window. FBI Boston's Child Exploitation–Human Trafficking Task Force arrested seven individuals on exploitation charges between June 12–16. Two Springfield men were charged with child enticement in Operation Firewall in November 2025. Massachusetts receives an F grade for child sex trafficking response from Shared Hope International, and NCMEC assesses 19% of the state's missing children as likely trafficking victims.

THE ORIGINAL BLACK PANTHER — THE DEACONS FOR DEFENSE
Before the Black Panther Party there were the Deacons for Defense and Justice — Black men, mostly veterans, who decided in 1964 that nonviolent protest had limits when the Ku Klux Klan was burning churches and shooting civil rights workers. 🔥
Founded in Jonesboro Louisiana in 1964 the Deacons for Defense were primarily working-class Black men who had served in World War Two and Korea. They had trained with weapons. They had faced enemy fire. They were not afraid of night riders in white sheets. ✊🏾
They organized armed patrols of Black neighborhoods in Louisiana and Mississippi. They provided armed escorts for CORE and SNCC civil rights workers who were being targeted for violence. When KKK motorcades came through Black communities the Deacons met them.
The results were measurable. The Klan largely avoided towns where the Deacons were known to be active.
The FBI surveilled them extensively — more concerned about armed Black men protecting their communities than about the Klan terrorizing those communities. 👑

The incident reportedly occurred during the July 3rd match and was captured while the 21-year-old was livestreaming from the stadium. According to the BBC, FIFA was made aware of the alleged abuse after footage from the stream circulated online. In response, FIFA released a statement reaffirming its stance against discrimination. “The FIFA World Cup is a celebration of unity, diversity and respect,” the organization said. #ispeed

BREAKING: HELL YES! Governor Gavin Newsom proposes a federal billionaire tax in a bold new announcement — sending the MAGA oligarchs into a tailspin.
And it gets even better...
"It's time for a national billionaire's tax and a new social contract. Think about this, just 10% of people, 10% of people in this country own two-thirds of the wealth," Newsom said in a video posted to X. "A 30-year-old, for the first time in American history, is not doing better than his or her parents. That's a five-alarm fire."
The governor is planting his flag on this issue as the Democratic Party convulses to redefine itself. Left-wing candidates are ascendant because the base is clamoring for genuinely progressive policies. Zohran Mamdani is leading the charge on this leftward shift and the recent successes of his endorsed candidates in the New York primaries is proof positive that voters are responding. Democratic Socialism is no longer a scary phrase.
We can either retreat into the same centrist ideology that allowed Trump to seize the White House not only once but twice, or we can embrace a more equitable vision of the future and start fighting for the working class. Republicans will call us "communists" but they do that anyway. Ignore the labels they sling and focus on winning elections with populist policy proposals.
“The system America’s founders built was designed to prevent the concentration of power in a few hands, but we have allowed that concentration to happen anyway, slowly, in plain sight, over decades,” Newsom stated. “We can reverse it together, as a country.”
He's calling for an "economic reset for America," demonstrating that he's willing to listen to voters clamoring for change as he considers a 2028 presidential campaign.
And the he American people are clearly furious with the status quo...
We are being forced to watch as sociopaths like Elon Musk (who is a trillionaire now) gobble up more and more wealth while working class families struggle to afford rent, basic groceries, and healthcare. Income inequality at these extreme levels is unsustainable.
Newsom's proposal would institute a minimum tax on anyone with a net worth above $100 million so that they pay, at the very least, the same rate as an average American worker. Under our current skewed tax system, some of them pay lower rates than people far poorer than them.
The governor also warned that the plutocratic inheritance laws currently on the books could "lock in a permanent American aristocracy of inherited wealth" if nothing is done.
The governor pointed specifically to the rise of artificial intelligence to bolster his proposal. He said that the new technology will dramatically reshape our economic system and so a “national public equity fund” should be distributed to every American, rather than simply allowing the tech lords and corporations to hoard even more wealth and power. That money could be used to help displaced workers, provide childcare, education, and healthcare.
"We're nearing the 250th anniversary of this country's revolution. The system the American founders built, well, was designed to prevent the concentration of power in a few hands," said Newsom. "But we've allowed that concentration to happen anyway, slowly and in plain sight over the course of decades and decades. But we can reverse it. We can reverse it together."
"It's time to democratize the American economy, to save our democracy," he concluded.
Newsom's support for this federal billionaire tax comes after he vowed to veto a California ballot proposal to institute a one-time tax on residents with a net worth above $1 billion. He explained that such a tax would just prompt those billionaires to flee to other states. The only real solution, as he sees is it, is to tax them at the federal level so that they can't simply jump over the border to a neighborring state.
“We’re competing with 50 states. Capital flows and move(s). That’s real. It’s not imagined. It’s very, very real," he previously said at the World Economic Forum.

Journalist G Elliot Morris’ Strength In Numbers/Verasight poll surveyed 2,087 U.S. adults and asked them who their most beloved politicians were.
“Every few months, I ask Americans in our poll to rate the country’s leading political figures on a ‘feeling thermometer’ scale — a 0-to-100 scale where 100 represents as warm and favorable as possible and 0 is as cold as can be,” explains Morris on his blog.
“Americans view warmly, on average, one political figure: Barack Obama.”
President Obama scored 54/100.
The other most popular politicians are leftists – Bernie Sanders (45), Zohran Mamdani (44), Jon Ossoff (42), and AOC (41).
Unsurprisingly, the bottom of the list is mostly Republican.
“Tucker Carlson is the single most disliked figure we tested, at 28. Senate Majority Leader John Thune (at 30), Speaker Mike Johnson (33), and Elon Musk (36) all sit near the floor. And Donald, at 38, is tied with his own vice president, JD Vance, and just below the Republican Party as a whole, at 39.”
Trump’s low rating probably has something to do with the corruption, the war crimes, the pedophilia allegations, the embezzlement, and the generally being the worst person to ever walk the planet since a certain German man.
It’s not surprising either that President Obama is at the top of the list. But what’s more surprising is how high Zohran, AOC, and Bernie Sanders are. America is ready for a progressive future – one that undoes everything Donald Trump has ever done and continues the great work that President Obama began.

What in the world is going on at the Knox County Sheriff's Department?
Nine current and former Knox County Sheriff’s Office employees appeared in Knox County Criminal Court for arraignment on serious theft charges. All nine pleaded NOT GUILTY. Former Sheriff Jimmy “J.J.” Jones and Assistant Chief Deputy David Henderson waived their appearance.
In total, 11 individuals face charges including: Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Theft of Property over $250,000, Theft of Property over $250,000, and Theft of Services over $60,000.
The charges stem from allegations that over several years (roughly 2010–2018), the group allegedly misused the KCSO Narcotics Unit credit card and seized cash/funds for personal purchases (electronics, hunting gear, etc.) totaling well over $300,000 and allegedly had KCSO resources and on-duty personnel used for personal projects and home work.
Defense attorneys have already filed motions to dismiss the charges, arguing unconstitutional pre-indictment delay, faded memories, and potential prejudice (including a deceased witness mentioned in filings) #news #police
