Neighbors, hopefully she wins! A Georgia woman is suing Airbnb after she claims she was denied the opportunity to book a rental located in a “peaceful white neighborhood”.

According to reports, Sharona Stewart says she found a six-bedroom home in Dunwoody, Georgia, and exchanged introduction messages with the host before things allegedly took a turn. Stewart claims the host began asking questions before abruptly rejecting her reservation.

Afterward, she says she took a closer look at the listing and noticed it described the area as a “peaceful white neighborhood” with “no neighbors around.” Stewart has since filed a federal lawsuit against the host and Airbnb alleging racial discrimination. She claims the platform failed to act quickly after she reported the listing.
